A Son's Homecoming

It' s been a while since I posted anything, so I'll start with the most recent event......CADE CAME HOME ON LEAVE!!!! Yep, my Navy son was able to come home at the end of January for several days, and we had so much fun. We really didn't do a whole lot, but just having him home was great. He flew into Dallas on Friday and was able to spend a day with his sister Meagan and her husband Jeremiah, and of course got to see nephew Jackson. Cade is crazy about him. Then Saturday, he caught a flight to Abilene and we proceeded to Midland to spend time with the family. Everyone was real excited to see him and he spent alot of time with his cousins, Monty & Garrett. Garrett graduated from school in Houston and Cindi had a home coming dinner for him Saturday night, so everyone was there. We had a blast. Cade wanted to go to the Lakehouse, so Monday we ended up there and spent a couple of days. The lakehouse is a great place to unwind and relax, and thats exactly what Cade did. We ate, played Wii games, watched movies and listened to old record albums. He left Friday morning to visit his mother, and flew back to Virginia Sunday. I started missing him again as soon as he went through security at the airport.

Cade and his old friend Pog.

Here he is again with Pog and Andy.

Cousins and best friends...Monty and Cade at the Lakehouse.
On the dock.....we actually have some water left in lake!
I'm very fortunate to be able to talk to Cade quite a bit. He is stationed in Virginia and calls almost everyday. I'm so proud of him. He is such a fine young man and I am blessed to call him my son. Love you Cade!
